Beets Me! Bison Bistro Burger

Makes: 4 Burgers

 

4-6oz Bison Burger Patties (you can substitute Ground Beef Patties, Black Bean or Veggie Burgers)

4 Duck Eggs (Large Chicken Eggs can be substituted- or Eggs Can be omitted)

2oz Sunflower Spouts

4Slices NY Cheddar Cheese

4T. Mojo’s Beets Me! Hot Sauce

4 Kaiser Buns – toasted if desired

1 medium Onion – caramelized (or substitute Crispy Fried Onions*)

 

  • Mix about 2T. Beets Me! Hot Sauce into bison meat when forming patties.
  • Cook Burgers and fry the Duck Eggs to your desired temp. (We like them both about Medium)
  • Top warm burgers with cheese, and then egg and place onto lightly toasted bun. Garnish with Onions and Sprouts and serve.

 

*To make your own Crispy Fried Onions – Cut 1 Large Onion into thin ½ moon slices.  Toss in about 2T. Flour. Heat Peanut or Vegetable Oil on Medium High Heat until a test strip of onion pops when it enters the oil. Fry until golden brown and drain on paper towels.
