This cute, one -room little shop is packed with all kinds of local crafts and goods from central New York! High quality glass, wooden bowls, cutting boards, pottery, and jewelry are just some of the crafts and artwork you’ll find here as well as shelf stable local food products such as maple syrup and honey, and now Mojo’s Sauce! Right near the center of town in Marcellus NY!

 

I spoke with Lana recently and asked her to share a little about the business with me.
 
Lizz – So Lana about how long have you been in business?
 
Lana: “Since October 2020”
 
Lizz- Have you owned other businesses in the past?
 
Lana “Yes. I am from a small city in Siberia, Russia and when I was younger, I had a business
selling consumer goods in the local outdoor market.”
 
Lizz- Do you do it all yourself or do you have other people who help? Partners or Employees?
 
Lana: “I am the sole proprietor, but I can count on my friends and family lend a hand when I need it!”
 
Lizz- What made you want to get involved with this enterprise?
 
Lana: “I have always dreamed of owning my own business, of being my own boss!”

 

 

Lana is passionate about her business and tells me she is committed to bringing quality local products into her community at a reasonable price. While her business is still just getting off the ground, she hopes to participate in Old Home Days and other community events in the future and is always up for having someone drop by to chat! “I love helping and talking to people so even if you don’t want to buy anything, stop in and say “HI!” She understands that COVID has challenged our shopping experiences lately but wants her customers to know that she is following all the NYS Guidelines for safe practices as we hope to get back to normalcy.
